The main goal of Reunification Therapy (RT) is to reintroduce a parent back into a child’s life in a safe, controlled, and therapeutic manner. The process of Reunification Therapy is designed to ensure a safe environment for the children and parents involved to create a new and secure bond with one another under the close supervision of one of our clinicians.
The most important idea of Reunification Therapy is the long-term goal of reconnecting the parent and child for a long-lasting bond.
Change from Within™ is based on the empirically-tested intervention strategy of the Duluth Model, a psycho-educational and skills-building curriculum. It is taught in group sessions that emphasize the development of critical thinking skills on eight themes:
(1) Non-Violence (2) Non-Threatening Behavior (3) Respect (4) Support & Trust (5) Accountability & Honesty
(6) Sexual Respect (7) Partnership (8) Negotiation & Fairness
Sessions are facilitated by our staff who are trained in Creating a Process of Change for Men Who Batter and begin with a demonstration of the specific controlling behavior. Each group member describes his own use of the controlling behavior and alternative behaviors are then explored.

The purpose of Therapeutic Supervised Visitations (TSV) is to enable an on-going relationship between the non-custodial parent and child by impartially observing their contact in a safe and structure environment. Another purpose of TSV is to allow a safe and educational learning experience for the non-custodial parent.
Our TSV Program provides clinicians to intervene and teach the parent appropriate parent leadership skills. Therapeutic Supervised Visitation is short-term and does not assist in the long-term goal of achieving a healthy relationship between the non-custodial parent and the child.
